Building Cohesive Communities

At RVA CDC, our mission is to conduct real estate community development activities that meet the needs of the community. 

Our primary development focus areas are non-profit spaces, affordable housing, workforce development, and community convening.

Our organization was organized in 2019 to create, promote, and sustain economic opportunity and stability for underserved and vulnerable neighborhoods and populations throughout Richmond, Virginia.

We currently operate under the guidance of 10 board of directors that ensure our activities are aligned with our mission.

 Today, the primary region of focus for these activities is in the East End of Richmond.  

Over 40 grants have been made to organizations in Richmond’s East End that also have a mission of creating sustainability in the community.

We are currently partnering with Church Hill North Holdings, LLC on various development projects in the Church Hill neighborhood.
